This quick and dirty program scans tab delimited TEXT files to find the maximum number of characters between each tab.  It then returns to the beginning of the file and replaces tabs with the best number of spaces, creating a new file with variable sized ╥columns.╙  Lines are padded with spaces to the same length.

This is more or less the same process used by Add/Strip in its Tab Delimited -> Variable and Tab Delimited -> Variable2 processes, except the file is first scanned and minimum widths suggested for processing.  The similarity to these processes accounts for what is admittedly a clumsy application name.

  14. Up to 25 additional spaces can be added to the right of each column.

  16. Up to 512 tabs will be recognized per line.  Larger files require more memory for buffering.

  18. Hold down the option key when choosing the ╥Process a TEXT File╔╙ menu item to pick any file.  If the option key isn╒t pressed, only TEXT files will be shown.

  20. If no tabs are located, you can still pad each line with spaces so they will all contain the same number of characters.
